ABOUT LES PIEDS SUR TERRE

Chaussures Gilbert was founded in 1969 in the city of Trois-Rivières. The footwear store, located on Boulevard Des Forges, originally offered shoes for men, women and children. Chaussures Gilbert focused on providing its customers with adjustable and comfortable footwear. The company flourished over the years as a result of its dedication to quality products and superior customer-service in a friendly environment.

In 1997, Chaussures Gilbert’s owners acquired Jean-Paul Fortin (1997) Inc. Furthermore, they launched “Les Pieds sur Terre”, a new store concept that offered comfort footwear and walking shoes to both men and women. Now with several locations in Quebec City, Trois-Rivières and Montreal, Les Pieds sur Terre is continuously expanding.

Jean-Paul Fortin (1997) Inc. is an enterprise dedicated to footwear retailing, with headquarters located in Quebec City. The Jean-Paul Fortin group comprises 5 Jean-Paul Fortin stores, 6 Les Pieds sur Terre stores as well as a Jean-Paul Fortin Outlet.
